Tsunami 6 Meter Hantam Jepang

TOKYO - Gempa bumi dengan kekuatan 8,8 SR menghamtam Jepang. Akibat gempa yang berkuatan dahsyat ini menyebabkan bencana tsunami setinggi 6 meter Honshu. Kerusakan parah juga terlihat dilokasi yang diterjang gempa.

Berdasarkan laporan THE Pacific Tsunami Warning Center di Hawaii, beberapa negara juga harus wapada dengan tsunami susulan. Negara yang wajib ekstra waspada adalah Rusia, Marcus Island, dan Marianas Utara.

Lembaga penyiaran publik, NHK juga menunjukkan asap hitam mengepul dari sebuah bangunan di Odaiba, daerah pinggiran Tokyo. Kegiatan kereta cepat diseluruh utara Jepang itu dihentikan. Televisi menunjukkan mobil terayun-ayun air di sisi perahu yang tengah bersandar.

Badan meteorologi Jepang mengingatkan bahwa tsunami setinggi 6m juga bisa menerjang pantai dekat prefektur Miyagi, terdekat dengan pusat gempa.

Badan itu mengatakan gempa terjadi pukul 14:46 pada (13:46 waktu Singapura) Jumat di kedalaman 10 km, sekira 125 km lepas pantai timur.

Akibat tsunami tersebut banyak bangunan dilaporkan hancur. Namun belum ada laporan mengenai korban jiwa akibat tsunami tersebut.(sumber)
